DC Delete Duplicates

How it works

Open the app, pick how products should match, then delete the extras. Nothing is removed until you confirm.

Do this

  1. Open the app

    It looks at up to 2,000 products on its own.

  2. Pick a match type

    Same name, same SKU, same barcode, or a mix of those.

  3. Check the groups

    A group is two or more products that match. The oldest one is Keep. The rest are extras.

  4. Pick what to delete

    Press Delete selected, read the popup, then confirm.

More than 2,000 products? The first look can miss some. Pro unlocks Bulk scan.

  1. Press Bulk scan

    Shopify works in the background. The page updates itself.

  2. Read the result cards

    Each match type shows groups and how many products are marked to delete. Nothing was deleted yet.

  3. Open a match type

    You see groups, not every product in the shop. Unique products stay off the list. That is normal.

Match types

Extra spaces and capital letters do not matter. Empty SKUs and barcodes are skipped. Variants on the same product are never duplicates of each other.

Keep vs extras

Keep is the oldest product in the group, by created date. Extras are the others.

Select extrasPicks extras only. Leaves Keep alone.

Delete selectedDeletes whatever you picked, including Keep if you picked it.

Bulk delete extrasDeletes extras for the match type you have open. Pro.

The popupShows the match type and the count. Confirm, or cancel.

What delete does

  1. You confirm in the popup

    Until then, nothing is gone.

  2. The product is deleted

    Every variant on that product goes with it.

  3. It cannot be undone

    Free: up to 40 at once. More than 40, or Bulk delete extras, runs in the background on Pro.

Deleting a product deletes its variants too. Check the count before you confirm.
